Central Coast Gear Up Girl

We are excited to announce that a regional Gear Up Girl will be held on the Central Coast again in 2018! Following success in March 2017, we can't wait to empower women from the area to hop on their bikes and be a part of Australia's largest female only community bike ride.

Held by the Central Coast Bicycle User Group, an affiliated BUG with Bicycle NSW, participants will be able to choose from three rides, all of which will offer scenic views and a stop off for morning tea.

105km Challenge Ride

The Challenge ride rolls out from Tuggerah Train Station at 7am, heading east then north along a coastal route until we join the Pacific Hwy at Lake Munmorah then on to Swansea. A few small hills along the way and some fast sections where participants can stretch their legs. We turn around at Swansea and return to meet the other rides at The Entrance for morning tea around 10:30/11am. Designed for more experienced riders who are comfortable cycling with fast passing traffic. Expected average pace is 25kph or we will miss out on the free coffee! After coffee it’s a relaxed 15kms back to Tuggerah station along the lakeside shared path.
